Senior Graphic Designer / Full Time / Paid

Boldspace is looking for a Lead Graphic Designer to lead the design output of the agency, reporting to the Art Director and Chief Brand Officer.

The workload is varied including on branding, web design, social and broader advertising.

Role Details

Strategy is at the heart of everything we do, and understanding and running the strategic process within the design process is absolutely essential to this role.

You will understand the craft of adding and taking away cultural meanings to and from brands through bold design, as well as how to sell their thinking into clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience working and leading design teams and processes, building compelling brand identities and guidelines from scratch, designing striking websites and creating beautiful, flawless editorial and presentations.

Responsible for implementing the highest standards of branding ideation, processes, presentation and execution.
Leading teams and overseeing multiple, varied design projects and tasks at any one time.

You will lead a small, growing design team of three.
Drive the design standards of the agency with bold, beautiful work
Bring a strong understanding of typography, layout, and brand identity principles, as well as animation and 3D principles.
Design a varied range of assets for the agency from client work to pitch documents, social campaigns and development of our own brand
Develop creative concepts and produce innovative artwork style guides and brand guidelines
Confidently present design concepts with strong rational strategic justifications, leading pitches and presentations.
Identify key trends and creative developments inside and outside of the industry

Skill/Attributes Required


A leader, able to drive creative practices and inspire others to drive standards across the agency.
Must have a good working knowledge of the Adobe package: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator – as well as a strong knowledge of the application of animation and 3D.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own time and others’ extremely well.
Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
A desire to develop the company and contribute with ideas to improve processes and practices.
