Interview with Anthony Wood: Founder of House of Mockups

Tired of seeing the same mockups over and over again, Anthony Wood, Shillington’s Creative Director and Global Managing Director, knew that he had to do something about it. We chatted to Anthony about why he thought House of Mockups was necessary, why mockups are important and that all important discount!

“House of Mockups was born out of the pandemic. I’m a workaholic and was spending all my waking hours at Shillington — I needed to focus my energies into something other than my job and wanted it to help the creative community at Shillington.

Mockups are not new, but I see the same mockups in portfolios time after time. They are often low quality, and distract from the amazing work. So, HOM was born from that!”

As Anthony said mockups are nothing new—but as they are such an essential element of so many portfolios, its absolutely paramount that they really make a design shine! He explained to us why they are important:

“Maximum impact really comes from the designers incredible work and ideas, but a great mockup can really make the work shine, and make it feel totally real.”

“Choose mockups that work with your design. They should also be high resolution, realistic and stylish.”
