We have an exciting opportunity for a freelance Graphic layout project.
Do you like succulents?
I am an amateur botanist working with a senior botanist to produce a small printed publication about Australian native succulent plants.
We have plan for an A4, 106 page botanical book. We are planning a small print run of 100 copies, (if costs permit, 200).
We have been running on a shoestring budget and are doing this project in our spare time as a passion/interest. While we have kept costs down, we have reached a point where large costs loom. We were always aware of large pre-print prep work/graphic design and layout work, and then printing costs. We decided to try and do much of the prep and layout and so built files using Microsoft Word. We have come to the point where our file is complete but it is unsuitable for printing. So we need someone skilled with better programs to transcribe into a print-ready format. There is no new layout or design features required but there is a lot of text and many images.
We are looking for freelance Graphic layout. The project is relatively straightforward.
We both have decades in our industry and are well connected in the horticulture and botanical science fields – giving the right candidate high visibility for opportunities for future work in these sectors and acknowledgement in the publication (Perhaps with a logo inside.)
Role Details
To prepare our files to print ready status. When the publication is printed, we may need further work for marketing and advertising campaigns, including social media, website banners, email newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials.
