Man Greig Farin: Graphic Designer Focused on Alternative Design Methods & Materials

Man Greig is a designer from Toronto, Canada and “enjoys exploring alternative methods and materials, which he then translates into his design work.” He has a love for different types of paper stock, typography and photography. His work spans packaging, stop motion, editorial and print design.

I liked the Canyon typeface and poster project. Although this typeface seems to have only a few practical applications, the development and use of typography in this poster is compelling. Man says “the typeface [was] inspired by mountainous regions and their silhouettes. Each character is built around the organic textures taken from rock formations and combined with a modern hairline typeface. The “Canyon” poster illustrates its dynamic qualities and the various ways it can be used.”
