Watch video of design legend Adrian Shaughnessy (author of How to be a Graphic Designer, Without Losing Your Soul) in action at Shillington London!
We were thrilled to bring Shaughnessy to Shillington for a guest lecture exclusively for Shillington graduates—part of our #Shillumni Talks event series to launch the new #Shillumni graduate network. The international event series featured lecture and networking events with design heavyweights at all six Shillington campuses including Debbie Millman at Shillington New York, Kevin Finn at Shillington Brisbane and more.
Today, we’re proud to share Shaughnessy’s full design lecture with our entire network to enjoy. The theme of Shaughnessy’s talk is ‘The Graphic Designer as Writer, Editor and Publisher’ and posed some enlightening questions about what the future holds for graphic designers. A key takeaway from one of our graduates in attendance was: “World changes, technology changes, but we need to be clever and take advantage. Adapt or die!”
How can we move and expand beyond the notion of just being a service based designer?
