Are museums meeting accessibility and inclusion obligations for differently-abled people? Join Poster House for a participatory workshop and conversation on the roles and measures museums can take to be more inclusive with artist, activist and educator, Oaklee Thiele.
PH x College are recurring workshops curated by college students for other inquisitive students interested in pursuing careers in art, design, or museums with an emphasis on professional development opportunities. Poster House newly opened in 2019 and value these programs as incremental to fostering more equitable spaces.
The online workshop will include a breakout session for attendees to devise solutions to institutional problems using tools and methods mentioned in the talk. All participants will be given an opportunity to present their ideas to the larger group and discuss strategies to ensure engagement is possible for all individuals. Come brainstorm about accessibility for institutions within one—Poster House!
