We are looking for paid Design Interns to join our Spring 2023 program, starting January 16. Team’s paid internship program offers valuable hands-on experience to emerging designers in a collaborative studio setting with exposure to a variety of client projects.

Role Details

As a Design Intern at Team, you are responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategy-driven, creative design solutions. Working under the supervision of a Designer, Senior Designer, or Associate Design Director, you will work on one to two projects simultaneously — from research and ideation through production and launch.

Details:
— Available to work in-person at our studio in Dumbo, Brooklyn 2-5 days per week for a three-month duration: January 16 – April 27, 2023
— Interns are paid $26/hour and are considered non-exempt employees, eligible for overtime if exceeding a 40 hour work week
— Deadline to apply is November 6. Team will be reviewing applications from November 7-11.

Your responsibilities include:
— Reviewing design briefs with a Designer, Senior Designer, or Associate Design Director to understand our clients’ business goals, positioning, history, and strategy
— Participating in internal brainstorming sessions to contribute high-level conceptual ideas based off of project strategy that guide our design process
— Supporting thoughtful, compelling design work under the direction of a Designer or Senior Designer, which may include:
– Research and mood board development
– Visual identity including logo and icon design, color palettes, font selection and/or design of unique typography, image selection
– Brand reveal or design concepts and/or animations
– Brand guidelines, brand assets, and collateral design and production files
– Digital, print, and experiential layouts
– Photography, 3D and/or illustration style/guidance
— Supporting administrative team with content migration for client websites
— Presenting final project to internal team members highlighting the work completed during the internship
— Supporting Team’s overall culture, values and mission

Skill/Attributes Required

— Design: You love great design. You’re always on the lookout for exciting new design stimulus and references.

— Production: You take an energetic and hands-on approach, completing tasks with high attention to detail. You take direction and feedback well, and you have a working knowledge of standard design tools (Adobe Creative Suite).

— Collaboration: You have a positive attitude and are a great communicator, always keeping the team up to date on your progress. You communicate effectively and respectfully, providing feedback and modeling Team’s values, vision, and design standards.

— Critical Thinking: You enjoy identifying problems and finding clever, creative solutions.
