#ILoveTheseGuys Creative Inspiration: John Alvin
John Alvin has produced some of the most Iconic movie posters known today. The skill in which he designed them, is truly amazing to me. He hand painted some of the most iconic posters and in doing so has formed a particular look and style throughout his work, that his friends and associates dubbed ‘Alvinesque’.
For me his style/composition in his work brings that film to life, almost as if depicting a scene unfolding in front of me. It draws me into the story by using colours, contrast, positioning on the page. This appears to me to be not just a flat piece of paper on the wall, but an interactive experience.
