The Orchid Show: Jeff Leatham’s Kaleidoscope

The New York Botanical Garden presents their 18th annual Orchid Show, arranged by Floral Sensation and Artistic Director of the Paris, Philadelphia,  Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotels— Jeff Leathem. The acclaimed designer has stunned star clientele and the design industry with his poetic florals since 1995.

Bringing together shape and color in unforgettable arrangements Jeff Leathem transforms NYBG into a kaleidoscope, altering our current moment and pushing reflection in this time. The Orchid Show: Jeff Leatham’s Kaleidoscope originally debuted in 2020, though short-lived due to the pandemic. Highly coveted by those who made the visit, the show was on track to be the garden’s most visited Orchid Show.

Leathem offers this perspective, “I am thrilled to bring Kaleidoscope back to The New York Botanical Garden in 2022—much like when you look into a kaleidoscope, the view is never the same. My reinvention of Kaleidoscope will be totally different installations than two years ago. Every turn will display a new vision while maintaining the thematic element of every gallery focusing on a different color experience”.

Themes of altering and encompassing color stories are central to the show, promising to be a beautifully immersive experience. Orchid Evenings take place on select April nights, exclusively for adult (21+) crowds in favor of performances and local attractions. Ranging from pre-show dinners, signature cocktails to interaction with grammy-nominated pianists leading up to a dance party, offering a plethora of options sure to complement the florals.
