Jimmy Muldoon, Shillington Teacher

Homeless Grapes, Gold in Packaging Award

“This project is all about giving back, with all services and product donated, with all profit going to those in need of a second chance at life. Homeless grapes is very close to my heart, and I designed this label to celebrate this project and the good that’s happening on such a taboo topic in society. I wanted this label to bursts across the screen with passion and purpose to reflect the similar ethos of the product.”

Shanti Sparrow, Shillington Head of Teaching

Surf Film Festival, Gold in Branding Award

“The design for the 6th annual film festival was inspired by Van Hamersveld’s iconic Endless Summer film poster. The 2018 Festival design features an abstract landscape in vibrant contemporary colours combined with female surfer silhouettes. Abstracting the colours of the horizon removes context of time allowing the scene to be both dusk and dawn.”

Taste, Gold in Branding Award

“The brand identity for Taste of the Upper West Side is based on the concept “cooking/baking is as much a science as it is an art”. The overall brand mimics the styling of an art exhibition and the graphics are inspired by abstract minimalism. The graphic elements are representative of the duality of precision and freedom within cooking/baking.”

Transform, Silver in Branding Award

“The Transform exhibition identity was developed for the Shillington School of Design Summer graduation exhibitions. The concept of “Transform” was inspired by the student journey – from curious observer to passionate designer. The graphics reflect the transitional stages of change in both abstract elements and typography. The exhibition identity was rolled out internationally in New York, London, Sydney, Manchester, Brisbane and Melbourne campuses.”
