Submit to TDC Ascenders 2019 (15 June Deadline)

The Type Directors Club (TDC) just announced their Ascenders 2019 typography competition! This portfolio-based competition is open to designers globally who are 35 years old and under.

Submissions should feature designs that are type-based and use typography in innovative ways. The submitted work can be for a client or a self-initiated project. The categories include—advertising, annual reports, apps, book jackets, brochures, editorial, exhibits, lettering, identity, motion, packaging, posters, t-shirts, typeface design and websites.

Ten winners will be announced on 18 July at the TDC awards ceremony, honored in an exhibition at Type Directors Club in New York and published in their annual, The World’s Best Typography.

For some inspiration, check out the photos from last year’s event and the winning project of #ShilloNY graduate Megan Dweck. Her #MadeAtShillington project Road Rally won a Type Directors Club 2018 Certificate of Typographic Excellence, featured in the TDC’s 2018 annual and shown at the 64th Awards Exhibition (TDC64) in New York City and more than 16 countries.
